Men’s Guide To Pairing Sunglasses With Fashion

Shades, as they are commonly called have been around for more than a century. Mainly created by accident as a green tinted glassed to correct vision, to now a common accessory of the faces of people around the world. Despite more than 100 years of wearing them, most people still do not know how to pick the right sunglasses for their outfit.

The main misconception of sunglasses is that the darker the tint, the better your eyes are protected form the sun. This is false! Users have to make sure that their sunglasses are rated on one of three international scales to measure how much Ultra Violet Light (UVA) is actually being blocked by the tint. Enough of the lesson, let’s get back to how you can style your outfit with the right sunglasses.

Aviators

The timeless Aviator sunglasses have been extremely popular ever since Tom Cruise appeared in the movie Top Gun. Created by Ray-Ban, these sunglasses have a large oval shape with a metal type frame. You can wear these year round with just about any outfit. The only difference you will actually find from the big brands is the price point, the UVA protection is quite similar.

Round Sunglasses

Consider the round sunglasses as a classic nerd or gentlemen look. You can dress preppy, fall casual, and even in the winter with a beanie on. The round frames tend to be well suited for people with short hair and a somewhat rounder face. A dark frame will do well to compliment your summer style if you are wearing chinos and a flannel shirt.

Mirrored Sunglasses

There are actually only three places where you should be seen with mirrored sunglasses. At the beach, an outdoor festival, and..wait that’s about it. Don’t be that guy who meets someone for the first time on a sunny day and the other person is looking at your sunglasses reflecting back at them, very deouchebag like appearance! On the other hand, keep your fashion extremely casual when going out to festivals or the beach. Mirrored sunglasses are suited best for these times.

Colour Tint Sunglasses

Think about it this way, you only should be wearing this type of sunglasses if you do not want to be taken seriously. And no tea re not talking about a bit of brown or black light er shade. What tea are talking about are those blue, red, green, etc..type of sunglass shades that are not suitable for human use. LOL.

Wood Frame Sunglasses

This type of sunglass can actually be worn with various types of outfit. One cool summer outfit of joggers paired with your favourite running shoes and a graphic t-shirt is a good casual look. One tip is to keep the frame a dark colour so that it does not look like you are wearing a novelty item.
